DANAWA, PCCW IN PACT TO EXPLORE NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

KUCHING: Danawa Group of Companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PCCW Global Limited to set up an avenue to explore and develop new business opportunities in the South East Asia region. The MoU was signed at the recent CommunicAsia 2007 Singapore Expo (the premier ICT exhibition in the Asia Pacific region). Danawa Group was represented by its chairman Datuk Abdul Hamed Sepawi, whereas PCCW Global was represented by its chief executive officer and director Dan Lovatt.
With the MoU, the two parties will explore opportunities for new business areas based on applicable fibre links, satellites and other solutions to cater to the international connectivity needs of enterprises, governments and others. Danawa Groups will also look into the possibility of expanding PCCW Global's varied content solutions to its existing and potential customers in the South East Asia region.
